This study evaluates the environmental impact assessment of sustainable pig farm via management nutrient and co-product flows in farm. Manure biogas production are among most promising pathways towards fully utilizing organic waste within a circular bioeconomy as environmentally friendly solution mitigating gaseous emissions producing bioenergy high-quality bio-fertilizers. The concept includes rearing pig, growing all feeds needed, managing nutrients A consequential life cycle (LCA) was performed to examine three scenarios which generated manure is used fertilizer for barley cultivation mineral where necessary (SC1); produced surplus straw thermal energy generation maize sale, substituting biomass market (SC2); co-products circulated closed system (SC3). functional unit (FU) defined “farm with 1000 fattening pigs at gate”. analysis showed that heat from wheat, legumes has significantly higher positive than use these cereal production. partial replacement fertilizers digestate effects terms abiotic depletion, photochemical oxidation, terrestrial ecotoxicity, freshwater aquatic human toxicity, marine ecotoxic aspects. amount on not sufficient completely eliminate plant fertilization. (SC1) (SC2) only enough fertilization 8.3% total cultivated land applying 22.9 t/ha rate.
